APSU Govs Fest welcomes new students, families, fans to campus | PHOTOS

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Austin Peay State University hosted the Govs Fest at Fortera Stadium on Friday, welcoming hundreds of new students, families and fans to campus.
The event featured activities such as face painting, a bungee trampoline, inflatables, food trucks, and various vendors. New freshmen were treated to free Buffalo Wild Wings, while all attendees had the chance to collect free promotional items from the vendors.
The evening included an autograph session with Austin Peay coaches and student-athletes, who signed fall sports posters. The Governor’s Own Marching Band performed during the event, and attendees also had the opportunity to meet The Gov. The Govs Fest wrapped up with APSU students enjoying Glowchella, a music festival-themed party held on the intramural field.
APSU’s first home football game of the season is scheduled for Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. against Southern Illinois. For more information visit the APSU athletics website.
