Artsville Fest brings color and talent to downtown Clarksville | PHOTOS

CLARKSVILLE, TN. (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – It was a beautiful fall day for the third annual Artsville Fest downtown Saturday. The vendors and activities stretched from the Downtown Commons on Strawberry Alley to Public Square.
There were three stages of live music, 65 vendor booths, food trucks and a Kid’s Zone, along with 3D chalk artists, 2D chalk artists, live muralists, and a live rug maker.
Maria Haycraft, owner of the ArtLink Clarksville Studio and leader of the ArtLink Team, said she was in awe of the success of the event.
“Our community showed up, there’s probably four times the amount of people here than any other year. So that in of itself just shows that this art community is thriving. I am so pumped about that, and we’re able to be here to provide that, it is such an honor,” Haycraft said.
One of the festival’s highlights was the Chalk Walk around the Downtown Commons. The chalk artists were vying for prizes for their artistry.
The Chalk Walk has been going on since 2017, and this year the chalk creations were judged by Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts and Montgomery County Director of Continuous Improvement Andrew Kester.
Chalk Walk winners were, First Place Karley Sugg, Second Place Chloe Ficklin, Third Place Lana Conder, Fourth Place Sabrena Wise, and Fifth Place Letitia Lively and Andrew Standridge.
