BARKtoberfest, Clarksville’s favorite pet-friendly event, will be bigger, better than ever

by ClarksvilleNow.com

With the newly themed BARKtoberfest, Barks & Brews has continued its dedication to bringing animals and people together for a wicked good time! This year guests should expect even more fun than before! With more vendors, food trucks, deliciously crafted beers provided by The Fallen Brewery, a silent auction, owner/pet contests, DJ, and live music, this year’s event is surely going to be a fan favorite of all time.

This year’s theme of BARKtoberfest features a spin-off of Oktoberfest with proper German food and enjoyment for all. The Sept. 22 event at The Fallen Brewery, will include the public debut of a new beer made just for the occasion.

Live music will feature Corey Allen (find him on Tiktok and Facebook) and Emma McDonald (on Tiktok).

How it started

Over the years, Barks & Brews has raised and donated thousands of dollars towards local animal charities to leave an important legacy.

“We live on such a beautiful planet and it is our responsibility to help take care of its inhabitants,” said founder Brandon Easton. “I couldn’t sit back and do nothing, so creating this event is my way of truly giving back in a way that is actually beneficial to animals.

“Since starting this event, I realize how many incredible people exist in our city. There are so many ways we can give back to animals, so bringing everyone together to give back to these causes provides me with the biggest joy imaginable!”

For a great cause

This year’s beneficiaries are The Montgomery County Angel Fund and Mikaela’s Mutt Motel.

The Montgomery County Angel Fund is an organization dedicated to sick or injured shelter animals at Montgomery County Animal Care and Control and for owners that are in desperate need of financial assistance to save their beloved fur babies. Since the creation of the Barks & Brews event, the Angel Fund has been a returning charity year over year, and has been greatly impacted by the funds raised during the event.

Mikaela’s Mutt Motel is an animal rescue organization that properly cares for and nurtures dogs that have been in extremely rough conditions. From dogs suffering severe neglect and abuse, burn marks, dehydration and malnourishment, and more, Mikaela’s Mutt Motel has been a crucial part in saving the lives of countless dogs. A private mission for the owner Mikaela Lambert is to provide free microchipping for all dogs so that they are easily brought back home with their families.

Barks & Brews thanks its top Spirit of the Wild sponsor Bankers Title & Escrow as well as its Pack Leader Sponsors and Lone Wolf sponsors. This event is put together by and for the wonderful community of Clarksville!
