CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – More than 300 adults and 200 children enjoyed a fun day Saturday at the Summer Festival to show their support for the future Clarksville Boys & Girls Club.

The event, which brought dozens of vendors and organizations to Kenwood High School, was not only a fundraiser, but also a chance for the community to learn more about the Boys & Girls Club coming to Clarksville.

The club received two major financial donations: Ross Farms Development Group donated $180,000, and Hankook Tire $20,000.

“Clarksville is home to our North American manufacturing operation, and we are dedicated to supporting the community where so many of us live and work,” said Rob Williams, president of Hankook Tire America Corp. Williams added that the presence of the club will bring important academic enrichment and community to many Hankook employees’ families. “We are excited and honored to be able to support that mission,” he said.

Deidre Ward, Clarksville Boys & Girls Club chairperson, thanked the community for its generosity and said the Summer Festival itself raised over $9,000, bringing them one step closer to creating a safe, enriching space for local youth.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered and helped spread the word. This event would not have been possible without your support. Your enthusiasm and commitment have ignited a movement that will continue to grow,” Ward said.

5 Star Media Group with DJ Budda Fly, New American Funding, and Legends Bank were also some of the many sponsors of the Summer Festival. If you attended the Summer Festival, the Clarksville Boys & Girls Club would like to receive feedback from the community through this online feedback form. They look forward to seeing the community at the second annual Summer Festival.
