Clarksville adults go head-to-head in Spelling Bee Showdown for Imagination Library | VIDEO

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Imagination Library of Montgomery County Bee-Lieve in Literacy: Adult Spelling Bee Showdown took place at the Customs House Museum on Tuesday, bringing together contestants, local leaders, and plenty of laughs.
The event kicked off with a reception and silent auction followed by the main competition. Teams of local adults competed for the title of the Ultimate Spellers of Montgomery County. Spring Creek Pediatric Dentistry took first place, followed by CDE Lightband in second, Keller Williams in third, and BFS Insurance Group earning the Most Spirit award.
The Queen Bee sponsor was the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville, which contributed $10,000 toward the goal of raising $45,000.
Teams could “bribe” the judges for fun, all to help raise money for Montgomery County children.

Judges for the night included former County Mayor Jim Durrett, 5 Star Media Group radio host Lee Irwin, and Economic Development Council Project Manager Janet Wilson. Emcees Kimberly Wiggins, County Trustee, and Charlie Koon of Legends Bank kept the crowd entertained throughout the rounds.
Proceeds from the event go directly to the Imagination Library of Montgomery County, providing free books each month to children from birth to age 5.
