Clarksville planning 2-day Independence Day celebration, with fireworks, live music, parade

CLARKSVILLE, TN – The City of Clarksville is planning to celebrate Independence Day this year with two days of festivities, including the traditional park fireworks display and this year the new downtown parade. Applications are now open for Entertainers, Food Concessionaires, and parade participants.

Independence Day Celebration

On Wednesday, July 3, from 5 to 9:30 p.m., Liberty Park will come alive with music, food, and festivities.

The City of Clarksville is in search of local artists who will perform before the main act. Local artists are invited to perform, with opportunities to promote their upcoming gigs and sell merchandise. Additionally, the city is looking for a singer to perform the national anthem.

Independence Day Parade

The celebration continues on Thursday, July 4, with the inaugural City of Clarksville Independence Day Parade. From 10 to 11 a.m., downtown Clarksville will be transformed into a colorful procession route. The parade promises to be family-friendly, featuring local floats, bands, and entertainment.

To participate in the City of Clarksville Independence Day Parade, interested parties must submit an application. While acceptance isn’t guaranteed, all applications will be carefully reviewed, with notifications sent out accordingly. The parade will be limited to approximately 60 units.
