by ClarksvilleNow.com

CLARKSVILLE, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation invites the community to welcome the holiday season at McGregor Park on Saturday, Nov. 22, with an afternoon and evening filled with local shopping, live entertainment, and the return of the Christmas-themed drone show over the Cumberland River.

This year’s celebration will include the Holiday Market, the official grand opening of Christmas on the Cumberland, and the second holiday drone show.

Holiday Market at McGregor Park

Beginning at 2 p.m., the Holiday Market will bring the spirit of the season to life with local artisans, makers, and small businesses offering handcrafted gifts, seasonal décor, and a variety of cuisines. Guests can enjoy festive music, delicious food, and unique finds while taking in the sights and sounds of Clarksville’s holiday kickoff.

Adding to the magic, American Melody Carriages will offer horse and carriage rides along the Riverwalk’s north side, behind O’Charley’s, from 2-5 p.m. Rides are $5 per person, with children ages 2 and under free (must sit on a lap). It’s a charming way to experience the festive atmosphere.

The market will remain open until 8 p.m., giving attendees plenty of time to shop, explore, and enjoy the holiday cheer.

Christmas on the Cumberland Grand Opening Ceremony

At 5 p.m., the community is invited to gather for the official Grand Opening Ceremony of Clarksville’s most beloved holiday tradition, Christmas on the Cumberland. The evening will feature live performances by CAST and Crowns, Dance Force, and Macy Izatt.

At 6 p.m., Mayor Joe Pitts will flip the switch, illuminating tens of thousands of lights along McGregor Park and the Riverwalk. The stunning light display will be open nightly, November 22, 2025, through January 2, 2026, from 5–10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. New this year, food and drink concessionaires will be set up on weekends. Admission is free. Please note that the lights will be off in inclement weather.

Holiday Drone Show by Firefly Drone Shows

Back by popular demand, Firefly Drone Shows will once again light up the night with a 15-minute performance featuring 200 drones synchronized to create festive holiday images, including Christmas trees, Santa, and Clarksville landmarks.

The show will begin shortly after the lighting ceremony. Spanning 600 feet wide and 300 feet high, the display will be visible from miles away. The drone show will also be live-streamed on the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Facebook page.

The public should note that the drone show is weather permitting.
