CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The City of Clarksville held its first drone show during the opening of Christmas on the Cumberland and the Holiday Market on Saturday.
The display by Firefly Drone Shows consisted of 200 synchronized drones that formed holiday images in the night sky. The 15-minute show stretched 300 feet high and spanned 600 feet wide.
Mayor Joe Pitts flipped the switch for Christmas on the Cumberland. The night included live performances by Natalie’s Dance Network, and CAST and Crowns, and caroling by the Clarksville School of Fine Arts.
Christmas on the Cumberland will be open through Jan. 2. The lights will be visible from 5-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 5-11 p.m. Friday through Saturday.
The Austin Peay State University Photojournalism class contributed to this report.
