Dwight Yoakam coming to Clarksville with Cosmic Roundup and Rodeo Tour

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Country star Dwight Yoakam is bringing his Cosmic Roundup and Rodeo Tour to the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville.

The show will be Oct. 17, with special guests The Mavericks.

Yoakam has had several Top 10 hits, including “Streets of Bakersfield” (a duet with Buck Owens) and “I Sang Dixie.” He has won two Grammy Awards and an Academy of Country Music award. Yoakam has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide; he has 12 gold albums and nine platinum or multi-platinum albums, with five of those albums topping Billboard’s Country Albums chart and another 14 landing in the Top 10. He is also an actor, with appearances in the movies Red Rock West, Sling Blade, Panic Room and Wedding Crashers, among others.

The Mavericks is an eclectic country band best known for the singles “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down” and “Dance the Night Away.” The band has received one Grammy Award, two Country Music Association awards, and three Academy of Country Music awards.

Tickets for the Clarksville show go on sale Friday, June 21, at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.
