Fort Campbell annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Wonderland this weekend

FORT CAMPBELL, KY – Fort Campbell Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation will host the installation’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in the grassy area in front of the U.S. Army Garrison Fort Campbell Headquarters, T39 Indiana Ave., at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1.

The ceremony features musical performances by the 101st Airborne Division Band and the Child and Youth Services Choir and the arrival of Santa Claus.

Fort Campbell’s Holiday Wonderland starts at 2 p.m. Dec. 1 with the Holiday Market and other fun activities at the R.F. Sink Library parking lot, 38 Screaming Eagle Blvd. (across the street from the U.S. Army Fort Campbell Garrison Headquarters). The market, featuring local artisans and food trucks, will be open until 8 p.m.

Santa’s Workshop featuring arts and crafts and photos with Santa will go from 6-8 p.m. at the R.F. Sink Library.

The Holiday Wonderland activities continue on Saturday Dec. 2 with the annual Ugly Sweater Run at R.F. Sink Library and Trees for Troops at the 101st Airborne Division Parade Field. An Ugly Sweater contest takes place before the run at 9:30 a.m. The run starts at 10:30 a.m.

Trees for Troops, a Christmas SPIRIT Foundation program that provides real Christmas trees to Armed Forces members and their Families, begins at noon and goes until 4 p.m. or until trees are gone.

For those unable to attend the event in-person, the ceremony will be live-streamed on the U.S. Army Fort Campbell Facebook page.
