Fort Defiance hosts Black History Month event honoring African American contributions to labor | PHOTOS

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center hosted an event on Saturday to honor Black History Month. The program showcased the contributions of African Americans to Montgomery County’s workforce in medicine, education, agriculture, and business.
Attendees enjoyed live music, refreshments, and learned about the impact of African American professionals and entrepreneurs who helped shape the community. The event featured several speakers who presented on a range of topics.







Fort Defiance offers a variety of educational programs. The center hosts regular events, and interactive exhibits.
