Greenway 8K Run held for first time in Clarksville, with over 200 runners | PHOTOS

CLARKSVILLE TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville Parks and Recreation hosted the first-ever Greenway 8K Run on Sunday, drawing participation from over 200 people. The event featured a range of activities, including food trucks and vendors, snack stations and more.

The race began at Mary’s Oak Trailhead with groups of 50, starting in waves. The route was an out-and-back course that offered runners an opportunity to enjoy the surroundings of the Greenway. Water stations were available along the route, and mile markers helped runners track their progress.

Greenway 8K overall winners

Male Overall: 1 Jorge Ramos, 2 Matthew Fisher, 3 Aiden Knepper.

Female Overall: 1 Jenny Snyder, 2 Karen Lopes, 3 Kaylee Fierro Perez.

The Clarksville Greenway is the city’s central trail corridor and includes trails north and south of the Red River.

The Clarksville Greenway offers community members and visitors views of the river and forestry.
