Holiday fun guide: Fall events, Thanksgiving specials and Christmas magic

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – From the final events of fall to Thanksgiving fun to Christmas events, there’s plenty coming up in Clarksville!

Nov. 2, 3
Seussification of Romeo & Juliet
Where: NEHS Theatre located at 3701 Trenton Rd,
When: Nov. 2 and 3 at 6 p.m.

Nov. 4
Q108 Vintage Fair Holiday Marketplace
Where: Beachaven Vineyards & Winery, 1100 Dunlop Lane
When: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4
Cost: $7 admission. 12 and under free. Tickets on Eventbrite.
Details: Sip and stroll as you shop over 130 vendors featuring antiques, furniture and handmade goods. Plus Santa’s Workshop, Cookies & Milk with Santa (extra cost) and food trucks.
Where: Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, 350 Pageant Lane
When: 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4
Cost: Free
Details: Celebration of all things science fiction, fantasy, superheroes, horror and anime with a silent DJ dance party, a cosplay contest, tabletop gaming, character meet and greets, various genre-themed vendors, and light concessions.

Details: Pre-parade ceremonies set for 9 a.m. in front of the courthouse on Third Street with keynote speaker Air Force Master Sgt. (Ret) Joe Thomas Jr.
Nov. 12
Where: Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 8 Champions Way
When: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12
Cost: Free admission
Details: Join Black Clarksville for their third annual Holiday Market with local vendors, holiday crafts, and photos with Santa.
Nov. 18
Where: McGregor Park, 640 N. Riverside Drive
When: 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18
Cost: Free admission
Details: The City of Clarksville’s new, German-inspired, open-air craft market with food, drinks, and artisan vendors selling holiday handmade items. And visit with Santa Claus.
Christmas on the Cumberland Lighting
Where: McGregor Park, 640 N. Riverside Drive
When: 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18
Cost: Free
Details: Lighting the displays of over 1 million lights. The lights will be open from Nov. 18 through Jan. 2, from 5-10 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday and 5-11 p.m. on Friday-Saturday. Lights may be off during rain and extreme weather.
Nov. 21-Jan. 1
Where: Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds, 1600 Needmore Road
When: 5:30-10 p.m. nightly, Nov. 21-Jan. 1
Cost: $30 per car ($50 for more than 8 in vehicle), with various discounts.
Details: Over one mile, and over 3 million lights, from the comfort of your car.
Nov. 23-Dec. 16
Where: Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St.
When: 7 p.m. Nov. 23, 24, 25, 30, Dec. 1, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16; 2 p.m. Dec. 2, 9, 16.
Cost: $35 (adults) and $15 (10 and under)
Details: Tiny Tim is determined to have his father home for Christmas day, even if it means teaching Ebenezer Scrooge a lesson in Christmas cheer. Adapted from the classic Charles Dickens novel.

Where: Erin’s Farm, 7000 Hodges Road, Cunningham
When: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26
Cost: Free admission
Details: Enjoy a food truck lunch and get some holiday shopping done, with local artists and makers, free kids’ crafts and hayrides.

Details: The “Planters Bank Presents” Film Series at the Roxy Regional Theatre.
Dec. 2
Where: Downtown Clarksville
When: 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2
Cost: Free
Details: The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County will jointly present the annual parade with floats and decorated vehicles, starting at Austin Peay State University and going through downtown.

Where: Downtown Commons, First Presbyterian Church, Trinity Parish.
When: 2-4:30 p.m., before Christmas Parade
Cost: Free
Details: At the Downtown Commons (215 Legion St.), there will be live music, Santa Claus, kids’ activities, and food trucks. At 4:30 p.m., County Mayor Wes Golden will light the Christmas tree. Warm up inside Trinity’s Parish Hall (317 Franklin St.) with cookies and hot chocolate. Visit the First Presbyterian Chapel (213 Main St.) to take part in a live Nativity.
Where: Historic Collinsville, 4711 Weakley Road, Southside
When: 3-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2
Cost: $15 for 6 and up, free for 0-5
Details: Activities and refreshments along with a candlelight service in the Wildwood Church and School.

Details: For the first time, Montgomery County will host a New Year’s Eve, family-friendly event with singing, dancing, and food. A 10-piece live band, dance floor, and string lighting will be placed on the lawn under a clear tent. There will also be a photo-booth trailer, food trucks, lounge seating, outdoor fire pits, and a surprise ‘drop’ at midnight.
