Holiday fun guide 2024: Fall events, seasonal specials and Christmas magic

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – From the final fall festivals to Thanksgiving fun to Christmas specials, there’s plenty coming up in Clarksville!

Ongoing 

Christmas on the Cumberland

  • Where: McGregor Park, 640 N. Riverside Drive.
  • When: Nov. 23-Jan. 3. 5-10 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Over 1 million lights at McGregor Park and Cumberland Riverwalk.

Drive Thru Christmas Light Show

  • Where: Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds, 1600 Needmore Road.
  • When: Nov. 26-Dec. 31. 5:30-10 p.m.
  • Cost: $30 per carload. $50 for eight or more people.
  • Details: Enjoy over 1 mile, and over 3 million lights, from the comfort of your car.

Nov. 17

Black Clarksville Holiday Market

  • Where: Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1190 Cumberland Drive.
  • When: Sunday, Nov. 17 from 12-5 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: This fourth annual event will feature local vendors, holiday crafts, and photos with the Santa Claus.

Santa at Beachaven

  • Where: Beachaven Vineyards & Winery, 1100 Dunlop Lane
  • When: 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17
  • Cost: $35 per family
  • Details: Holiday treats and hot cocoa, plus two drink tickets for wine. Alison Weakley Photography will be on site to take photo orders for additional costs.

Nov. 23

Christmas on the Cumberland Holiday Market

  • Where: McGregor Park, 640 N. Riverside Drive.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 23 from 2-8 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Festive market with music and food, photos with Santa, a reindeer petting zoo, and ornament decorating station.

Nov. 24

Winter Baroque Concert

  • Where: Madison Street United Methodist Church, 319 Madison St.
  • When: Sunday, Nov. 24 at 4 p.m.
  • Cost: $25
  • Details: The Gateway Chamber Orchestra 13th annual Winter Baroque Concert with performances by the Gateway Chorale and the Clarksville Children’s Chorus, showcasing JS Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 2 and Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Midnight Mass.

Nov. 29

A Charles Dickens Christmas

  • Where: Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St.
  • When: Nov. 29- 30. Dec. 1, 6-8, 13-14.
  • Cost: $35 adults, $15 kids.
  • Details: Behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Dickens’ immortal classic.

Clarksville Christmas Market

  • Where: 4-H Arena, 1921 Rossview Road.
  • When: Friday, Nov. 29-30 from 4-8 p.m.
  • Cost: Free

Nov. 30

Winterfest at Erin’s Farm

  • Where: Erin’s Tree Farm, 7000 Hodges Road.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 30 from 10-4 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Outdoor games, a free craft for the kids from Arts for Hearts, and food trucks. Pick and cut your own farm-fresh Christmas tree.

Dec. 1

Holiday Movies at the Roxy: It’s a Wonderful Life

  • Where: The Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St.
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m.
  • Cost: $5
  • Details: Join the Roxy for a showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

Dec. 3

HapPeay Holidays Showcase

  • Where: Mabry Concert Hall,
  • When: Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Cost: Tickets beginning Nov. 11 or two pantry items beginning Nov. 12.
  • Details: Join the APSU Music Department in the family-friendly celebration of the season with musical showcases!

Dec. 5

Customs House Noel Night

  • Where: Custom House Museum, 200 South Second St.
  • When: Thursday, Dec. 5 from 5-8 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Red River Breeze will play holiday music; a special guest from the North Pole will attend; children’s crafts; and the F&M Bank Huff & Puff Model Trains will run.

Dec. 7 

Spiritfest

  • Where: Downtown Commons, 215 Legion St.
  • When: Saturday, Dec. 7 from 2-4:30 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Live music, Santa Claus, kids’ activities, and food trucks. At 4:30 p.m., Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden will light the Christmas tree.

Lighted Christmas Parade

  • Where: Downtown Clarksville
  • When: Saturday, Dec. 7 from 5-7 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Local businesses, civic organizations, clubs, school groups, municipal agencies, non-profits, and church groups will be present with floats and decorated vehicles.

Dec. 8

Holiday Movies at the Roxy: How the Grinch Stole Christmas

  • Where: The Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin Street.
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m.
  • Cost: $5
  • Details: Join the Roxy for a showing of Dr. Seuss’ “How The Grinch Stole Christmas.”

Dec. 14

19th Century Christmas 

  • Where: Fort Defiance Interpretive Center and Park, 120 Duncan Street.
  • When: Saturday, Dec. 14 from 3-4:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $5
  • Details: Period refreshments, parlor games, re-enactors, eggnog, cakes, caroling, and goodie bags for you to take home.

Christmas Light Run

  • Where: McGregor Park, 640 North Riverside Drive.
  • When: Saturday, Dec. 14 from 4:30-6 p.m.
  • Cost: $15 plus.
  • Details: The after-dark event along Christmas on the Cumberland raises funds for new light displays.

German Christmas Market

  • Where: Christ Lutheran Church, 2425 Kirkwood Road.
  • When: Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10-5 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Homemade crafts, woodwork, baked goods, delicious food and live music.

Dec. 15

Holiday Movies at the Roxy: Christmas Vacation

  • Where: The Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin Street.
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 15 at 6 p.m.
  • Cost: $5
  • Details: Join the Roxy for a showing of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”

Dec. 31

New Year’s Eve Party

  • Where: Downtown Commons, 215 Legion St.
  • When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 9 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Live band, dance floor, photo-booth trailer, food trucks, a balloon drop, and a surprise at midnight.
