Leadership Clarksville comes together to meet new executive director | PHOTOS

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Leadership Clarksville hosted an Alumni Mixer at Yada on Franklin Friday. It was promoted as a way for class members to reconnect with old friends, forge new connections and relish the joy of togetherness

Close to 60 people were in attendance. Along with socializing, it was the first gathering with a chance for members to meet new Leadership Clarksville Executive Director Michael Kasitz, who was named to the position in July.

“I really enjoyed the experience when I went through the Class in 2021, and it was very valuable to me. Now I get to help people go through this and get to facilitate this class and see it from a different angle,” Kasitz said.

Kasitz added that wanted to learn more about how they can make the program better and better each year for the future classes.

Kimberly Wiggins and Cheryl Lankford are co-chairs of the Leadership Clarksville Alumni Engagement Committee. Wiggins said that it was their first alumni mixer.

“What we found is, alumni were saying, ‘When are we going to get together?’ Because they asked, we are providing it. We also have a Lunch and Learn coming up in September, but for now this is our kickoff. We are so happy that we had around 57 people RSVP,” Wiggins said.
