CLARKSVILLE, TN − Montgomery County Parks and Recreation welcomed back the Nashville Symphony for a free outdoor concert on Thursday that filled the Downtown Commons.

Led by conductor Kelly Corcoran, the Nashville Symphony presented a program that included “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “Fanfare on Amazing Grace,” Dvořák’s Slavonic Dance No. 3, Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 6, and highlights from Bizet’s Carmen. The evening will also include popular favorites like John Williams’ “Flight to Neverland” from Hook and Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”

Kara Zahn with Parks & Rec thanked Benefits, Inc. and Jack B. Turner and Associates for making the concert possible. “We did get rained out last year, so we’re excited that the weather cooperated this year and we were able to have them out,” she said.
