Over 200 kids get hands-on with instruments from Country Music Hall of Fame at Downtown Commons

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – More than 200 people, most of them children, gathered Friday for the Country Music Hall of Fame Instrument Petting Zoo at the Downtown Commons.
Guests from the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville stopped by with a variety of musical instruments, with everything from guitars to fiddles to tambourines. The children learned important details about each instrument and were given a hands-on experience.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library Communication and Event Coordinator David Brockman said the musical event was part of the library’s Color Our World Summer Reading Program.
“The kids learn about each instrument, and they are invited to come up and play them and enjoy the day. It sounds beautiful with all of the different instruments going and the kids are having a great time,” Brockman said.
Brockman thanked the guests from the Country Music Hall of Fame for stopping by with the musical instruments. He also thanked Montgomery County Parks and Recreation for their support with the community event.
