CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Polar Plunge event that was to be this Saturday has been postponed, since the deck surrounding New Providence Pool is still covered in about 2 inches of ice.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation will reschedule the event to Feb. 21, according to a press release, to ensure the safety of patrons, staff and sponsors.

Registration is still available for those wishing to participate or donate. All proceeds go directly to the community by providing swim lessons to participants who qualify for the Parks and Rec S.P.A.R.K. Scholarship and adaptive individuals.
