CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Lots of fun happening around town this weekend, with the Downtown Market kickoff, Fort Defiance gunfire, a free movie night and a new Roxy play.

Downtown Market Opening Day

March to the Past

• Where: Fort Defiance Civil War Park & Interpretive Center
• When: Saturday, May 9, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

• Details: Presented by the Friends of Fort Defiance, March to the Past offers a day of living history experiences, including Civil War camp demonstrations, musket and artillery firings, historical cooking demonstrations and hands-on activities for children.

MoCo Movie Nights

The Music Man JR.

• Details: This 60-minute youth production of The Music Man JR. brings the classic story of fast-talking salesman Harold Hill and librarian Marian to life.

Motorcycle Safety Event

• Details: Riders Against Dangerous Driving will host a Motorcycle Safety Event focused on promoting safe riding practices. Activities include motorcycle safety demonstrations, educational booths, kids’ games, food vendors, raffles and giveaways.
