This weekend in Clarksville: Fright on Franklin, festivals, APSU parade and much more

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This is the big weekend for Halloween fun in Clarksville, with events going on everywhere, including Fright on Franklin.

- Where: Downtown centered on Franklin Street
- When: 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25
- Cost: Free
- Details: Trick-or-treat with local businesses and organizations. Costumes are a must, especially for those entering the all-ages costume contest.
- Where: Historic Collinsville, 4711 Weakley Road, Southside
- When: 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25
- Cost: Separate admission for day and night events, from $10 to $15
- Details: Guests will rotate through three activities: a Harvest Hayride scavenger hunt (with a glow-in-the-dark version at night), a Storytelling Walk with slightly spooky 19th-century tales in the Batson House, and a campfire gathering with 19th-century songs and s’mores.
- Where: Rotary Park, 2308 Rotary Park Drive
- When: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25
- Cost: Free
- Details: Family-friendly festival featuring pumpkin painting, trick-or-treating, Halloween crafts, creepy crawlers, and more. Costumes encouraged. Parking available at Community of Hope with free transportation provided.
- Where: Beachaven Vineyards & Winery, 1100 Dunlop Lane
- When: Saturday, Oct. 25, 3-9:30 p.m.
- Details: Live music, family fun, and festive costumes. The Clarksville Jazz Collective kicks off the evening from 3-5 p.m., followed by The Bicho Brothers from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Costume parade during intermission for a chance to win prizes.

- When: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25
- Cost: Free
- Details: Austin Peay State University’s 80th annual Homecoming Parade features floats, marching bands, student groups, JROTC programs, dance teams, cheerleaders, nonprofits and community organizations.
Howl & Meow-O-Ween Adoption Bash
- Where: Montgomery County Animal Care and Control, 437 Jordan Road
- When: Sunday, Oct. 26, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Cost: Free
- Details: Montgomery County Animal Care and Control event with pet adoptions, trunk-or-treating, costume contests for pets and humans, free microchipping from 1-3 p.m., appearances by Fire & Rescue and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, food trucks, vendors and rescue groups.
