CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym recently opened in Clarksville, featuring a gym that caters to all children with all abilities.

Co-owner Tina Brown said she had heard about the franchise gym in Jackson and heard that some Clarksville families were traveling to the gym in Franklin. She and her husband Travis decided Clarksville needed the gym like this. We Rock the Spectrum is inclusive and it’s true to the gym’s slogan: “Finally a place where you never have to say I’m sorry.”

“We are open to typical children ages to 13, and for children on the spectrum, there’s no age limit. We have a teen lounge to cater to the older children. We have a calming room, we have a toddler area, we have arts and crafts, we have a sensory swing, sensory toys and a zip line,” Brown said.

The gym offers 10 areas along with plans for classes, camps, respite care and parent’s night out events.

Gillian Stetekluh and her 3-year-old son Wesley were paying their first visit to We Rock the Spectrum.

“My son has developmental delays and taking him to other places sometimes there is a lot of judgment. So coming to a place like this where you know everyone is more understanding and they have sensory toys and things like that accommodate kids with different needs,” Stetekluh said.

Brown said they are very aware of cleaning and sanitizing. She said the parents are appreciative of that, especially with the children who have immune issues.

We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym can be found at 549 Neptune Drive, Suites E-H. The gym is open seven days a week, Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 12-5 p.m.
