Weekend top picks: ‘Finding Dory’ at Commons, Pups and Trucks, APSU Observatory Night

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend is your chance to watch the night sky, enjoy a quilt show and tell, watch a movie with the family downtown, and surround yourself with adoptable pups!
MoCo Movie Night: Join Montgomery County as they host a family friendly movie night throughout the summer season. The movie Finding Dory will be playing, at Downtown Commons, 215 Legion Street on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Pups and Trucks Chowdown Event: Enjoy delicious food trucks, adoptable pups, vendors, bounce houses, and free microchips for the first 60 dogs at Northeast High School, 1148 Meriwether Road on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 4-8 p.m.
APSU Observatory Night: Whether you’re a seasoned stargazer or just curious about the cosmos, this event offers a unique opportunity to witness the beauty of the night sky up close. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience at the Austin Peay State University Observatory, 1991 Pickens Road. The night begins Saturday, Aug. 10 at 8 p.m.
Historic Collinsville Quilt Show and Tell: Join in a site-wide quilt show and tell. Browse through the settlement and the Weakley Museum to see both hand-stitched and machine-made quilts from utilitarian to show-quilt quality. The fun begins on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 10-4 p.m. at Historic Collinsville, 4711 Weakley Road. $14 per adult, $8 per child ages 3-12, children under 3 free with a paying adult.
