Weekend top picks: Bella’s Closet Fashion Fundraiser, Clarksville Power of Words, Empty Bowls kickoff

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend, get ready for a fabulous fashion fundraiser, feel the power of spoken word poetry, and have a meal and pottery at Empty Bowls.

Bella’s Closet Fashion Fundraiser: The fashion fundraiser, runway show and brunch will feature the latest trends and styles from casual to professional at The Emerald, 2631 Hwy41A Bypass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. Tickets are $25.

Clarksville Power of Words: Hosted by Komplex Simplicity and SUG, enjoy a night of open mic performances for Clarksville’s third annual Power of Words art event. There will be drinks and a live DJ. Entry fee is $15 at Good People Lounge, 1018 Franklin St. on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.

Empty Bowls: The 17th annual Empty Bowls fundraising event supports Urban Ministries, Loaves & Fishes and Manna Cafe. Guests get a meal and a decorative bowl of their choice. The meals will be Feb. 9-23 at various locations. It kicks off Sunday, Feb. 9, with lunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Tickets are $15 online, click here.
