Weekend top picks: Bikers Who Care Toy Run, Govs Arts Festival and more

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – There are lots of events this weekend including a toy run, a historic Bell Witch presentation, an anime and comic book convention, a Hispanic heritage festival, and more!

Bikers Who Care Toy Run and Party: The Toy Run itself will be Saturday, Sept. 14, with lineup at 11  a.m. at Governor’s Square Mall; this is a change from previous years. Admission for the Toy Run is one toy or cash donation per person. The ride will end at the Speedway, where toys will be dropped off with YAIPak Outreach from 2-4 p.m. The main event is at Clarksville Speedway, 1600 Needmore Road on Friday, Sept. 13. Tickets start at $35.

4th Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival: Celebrate the Hispanic culture with music, dances, and food for the community Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 8 Champions Way Sunday, Sept. 15 from noon to 6 p.m. (Note: Postponed)

Govs Creative Arts Festival: The Govs Creative Arts Festival will feature various dance, theatre and musical performances and a free activity area, complete with a painting class for all ages, a make-your-own-print experience, an instrument petting zoo and more. The festival is downtown, 215 Legion Street on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 11-3 p.m.

Clarksville Anime & Comic Book Convention: There will be over 100,000 Comic Books , Toys, Magic Cards & Gaming, Movie Posters , Manga & Anime , Bladed Weapons, Autographs, Wrestling , and Collectibles for sale at the show. The event takes place at the Quality Inn Exit 4, 3095 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. from Saturday, Sept 14-15 from 10-4 p.m. Tickets are $10.

Historic Collinsville Bell Witch presentation: Historic Collinsville, 4711 Weakley Road in rural Montgomery County has announced it will host a special presentation and lantern tour on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 7 to 10 p.m., with Bell Witch researcher Pat Fitzhugh.
