Weekend top picks: Black History Expo, comedy tour and more

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend, visit Mt. Olive Cemetery for a Black History Celebration, learn about the history, culture and impact of African Americans at the Black History Expo, and laugh until you cry at Old Abe’s Brew House comedy show.

Mt. Olive Cemetery Black History Celebration: Join members of the Mt. Olive Historical Preservation Society as they present a celebration of Tennessee’s African American artists. During the program, visitors will learn about the lives of different artists that each called Clarksville home and other interesting information regarding the African American Legacy Trail. The free program will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Black History Expo: Celebrate the history, culture and impact of African Americans in America as well as right here in Clarksville. An exhibit of African American history will be at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 8 Champion’s Way, on Sunday, Feb. 25, from noon to 7 p.m. Along with an exhibit, guests will hear from guest speakers, explore vendors and more!

The Brewery Comedy Tour: This event will feature some of the funniest comedians in the country, who will have you in stitches with their hilarious jokes and witty humor. Doors open at 6 p.m. on Saturday Feb. 24, at Old Abe’s Brew House, 2088 Lowes Drive.
