Weekend top picks: Candlelight Holiday Special, Christmas on the Cumberland, and Drive-Thru Christmas Lights

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Make new family traditions, or carry on old methods of getting into the holiday spirit with Candlelight at the Roxy, or some big Christmas light displays!

Candlelight: Holiday Special: Enjoy a Holiday Special featuring “The Nutcracker” and more. This is a live, multi-sensory musical experience under the gentle glow of candlelight. The event will be at Roxy Regional Theatre Friday, Dec. 22. Cost of tickets will vary from $45-$60. The Candlelight: Holiday Special will run from 8:45-10:45 p.m.

Christmas on the Cumberland: Enjoy over 1 million lights, along the Cumberland River. Completely free, the lights will be on display until Jan. 2 from 5-10 pm. on Sunday-Thursday, and 5-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Located at McGregor Park, 640 N. Riverside Drive. Lights may be turned off during rain or extreme weather.

Drive-thru Christmas Lights: See over 3 million lights on display, from the comfort of your own car. The event is $30 per car ($50 if more than 8 are in your car). Located at the Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds, 1600 Needmore Road. The display will be open 5:30-10 p.m. nightly until Jan. 1.
