Weekend top picks: Clarksville Outdoor Expo, Polar Plunge, Cocoa Hike, Chanticleer Concert

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend enjoy the great outdoors at the Clarksville Outdoor Expo, participate in a hike at Rotary Park, take a chilly plunge for a good cause, and listen to the beautiful harmonies of a choir performance!

Clarksville Outdoor Expo: Enjoy hourly stage shows and presentations on everything outdoors. There will also be fun for the kids including live animals and a mobile fishing pond. The event kicks off on Friday, Jan. 24, from noon to 7 p.m. and continues on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1190 Cumberland Drive. $5. Kids 16 and under are free. Military are free.

Cocoa Hike: The hike will last 45 minutes, and each participant will carry a provided lantern through the woods. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Stick around after the hike for a cup of cocoa at the Rotary Park Nature Center, 2308 Rotary Park Drive. The hike begins Friday, Jan. 24 a 5 p.m.

Polar Plunge: A winter event where participants courageously jump into a cold, body of water to raise awareness for water safety and drowning prevention. Participate at New Providence Pool, 168 Cunningham Lane on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. $25.

Chanticleer Concert: Chanticleer is one of the most prolific recording and touring ensembles in the world. The concert is at Mabry Concert Hall, 780 Marion Street on Sunday, Jan. 26, at 3 p.m. Tickets start at $27.
