Weekend top picks: ComicCon, haunted houses, Downtown @ Sundown and more

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – There’s a ton of fun stuff happening this weekend including ClarksvilleCon, a haunted yard experience from Clarksville’s only special FX artist, and a harvest festival with hay rides, a pumpkin patch and jack-o-lantern corn maze.
Downtown @ Sundown: The Wildflowers, a Tom Petty Tribute Band will be performing at Downtown Commons, 215 Legion St., 7-10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20. Beer and other beverages will be for sale, and food trucks will line up on Main Street. Bring chairs and blankets. No coolers, pets, smoking or outside alcohol.
ClarksvilleCon ComicCon: The 3rd annual show will cater to comic book and pop culture fandoms of multiple genres on Saturday, Oct 21 from 10-5 p.m., at the Quality Inn, 2093 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. There will be over 100 exhibitors, featured guests, cosplay contests, a video game tournament and more. Tickets are $20 and kids under 11 are free.
Unknown Haunted Yard Experience and Mini Monster Museum: Clarksville’s only special FX artist is hosting a mini monster museum workspace and haunted yard event every Friday and Saturday till the end of October from 7-11 p.m., and Tuesday Oct. 31 from 6-9 p.m. The free event is at Unknown Origin FX, 312 Southern Drive. “All ages welcome, only you know what your family can handle.” Children 13 and under are to be accompanied by an adult.
Haunted 61 Haunted House: Sudden Service presents Haunted 61 Haunted House at 1349 Highway 149, Cumberland City. Doors open at 7-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 20, 21, 27 and 28. On Halloween, Oct. 31, doors are open 8 p.m.- midnight. There is a $10 admission with all proceeds going to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
Eldridge Farm Harvest Festival: Eldridge Farm is hosting a harvest festival on Saturday, Oct 21 and 28 from noon-6 p.m., at 4575 St. Paul Road, Woodlawn. There will be food, jack-o-lantern corn maze, hay rides, a pumpkin patch, and multiple vendors. The event is free with some ticketed events.
‘Clue’ at Roxy: Planters Bank Film Series continues with classic Halloween films, at The Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St., 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22. Tickets are $5 to see the movie ‘Clue.”
