Weekend top picks: Historic Collinsville Picnic, APSU Observatory Night, MoCo Movie Night

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Round up the family for a delightful picnic at Historic Collinsville, stargaze through a real observatory, catch an exciting outdoor movie at the park, and groove to live music while kicking back and having a blast!
Historic Collinsville Family Field Picnic Day: Experience 19th Century fun and fellowship with a good ol’ fashioned field day and picnic on the grounds of Historic Collinsville, 4711 Weakley Road. The fun kicks off Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. $14 per adult, $8 per child ages 3-12, children under 3 free with a paying adult.
APSU Observatory Night: Whether you’re a seasoned stargazer or just curious about the cosmos, this event offers a unique opportunity to witness the beauty of the night sky up close. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience. The free event takes place at The Austin Peay State University Observatory, 1991 Pickens Road, on Saturday July 13 at 8 p.m.
MoCo Movie Night: Join Montgomery County as they host a family friendly movie night throughout the summer season. The movie The Lego Movie will be playing at Woodlawn Park, 2910 Woodlawn Park Road on Saturday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Bands at the Brewstillery: Bring the lawn chairs, the bug spray, the kids, and the pups, but not the outside alcohol. Food will be available for purchase via “Campfire Grill”. Skipper Grace will perform at The Star Spangled Brewing Company, 614 North Spring Street on Saturday, July 13 from 6-9 p.m.
