Weekend top picks: Hunting and Fishing Expo, Lego contest, community concert

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – It’s a rainy weekend, but there are still plenty of fun things to do around town, including the Hunting and Fishing Expo and a Lego art contest.

Hunting and Fishing Expo: Come join 5 Star Media Group’s big annual outdoor expo with boats, RV’s, hunting and fishing vendors, children’s activities, live animals and more. The expo will take place at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1188 Cumberland Drive from noon-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, and 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27. Admission is $5 and free to military and kids 16 and younger.

Lego contest at ArtLink: Celebrate National Lego Day with Artlink’s Lego city contest at ArtLink studio, 98 Franklin Street on Sunday, Jan. 28 from 12-5 p.m. Let your imagination soar and create a Lego masterpiece that represents Clarksville or showcases a unique building, whether it’s your home or a local landmark. Winners will be announced on January 31. Entry fee is $5 for kids and $10 for adults.

Community Concert: Windborne singers: Windborne draws on the singers’ deep roots in traditions of vocal harmony while their unique artistic approach brings old songs into the present. Tickets start at $20 with free admission for APSU students. The concert will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at the APSU George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall, 780 Marion Street.
