Weekend top picks: Matilda the Musical, Women of Clarksville Expo

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend, sing along to Matilda the Musical, walk through the 4th annual Women of Clarksville Expo, spread awareness for Sebastian’s Rescue Ride, and watch a movie with the family at the park!

Matilda the Musical: With its high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by this story of an extraordinary girl who dares to take a stand and change her destiny. Showings start Friday, Aug. 23-Sept.1 at the Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St. Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for 10 and under.

Women of Clarksville Expo: Join the City of Clarksville for the 4th Annual Women of Clarksville Expo! Admission is free & the Expo will feature health screenings, vendors & food trucks. The event will be on Saturday Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Emerald, 2631 Highway 41A Bypass.

Sebastian’s Rescue Ride: Mikaela’s Mutt Motel will bring adoptable animals, followed by a motorcycle ride, prayer vigil and meal, all to continue awareness for missing Sebastian Rogers of Sumner County. The event is on Saturday Aug. 24 at The Fallen Brewery, 1761 Jardco Drive at 2 p.m. $25 donation requested.

MoCo Movie Night: Join Montgomery County as they host a family friendly movie night throughout the summer season. The movie The Little Rascals will be playing at Civitan Park, 650 Bellamy Lane on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 7:30 p.m.
