Weekend top picks: Montgomery County Fair, Downtown @ Sundown, Emancipation Day Block Party

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend, bring the family to the county fair, enjoy some art downtown, and listen to live music at sundown.

Montgomery County Fair: The Montgomery County Fair is back with an array of attractions including pig racing, rides, food, games, bike racing and so much more, at the Clarksville Speedway, 1600 Needmore Road. The fun continues Aug. 1-3. Cost: Armbands $30-$35. Midway admission, $7 adults. Kids 4-11 $4.

Downtown @ Sundown:  Join Downtown Commons, 215 Legion Street on Aug, 2 to hear Journey from the Heart live! This tribute band will sing the best of Journey and Heart for an unforgettable night! The concert begins at 7 p.m.

Emancipation Day Block Party: The celebration will feature Xzaundra and BWA, Tammy Hall, Burt Steppers and D.J. Folley, plus vendors, music, dance contests, food and prizes. The party is Aug. 3 from 5-10 p.m. in Dixon Park. Free parking will be available at Fifth Ward Baptist Church at 900 Franklin St., and the Burt Cobb Community Center at 1011 Franklin.
