Weekend top picks: Polar Bear Plunge, Vagina Monologues, Art in Bloom

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend, if these events aren’t canceled over snow, you can participate in Clarksville’s polar plunge, watch a play at the Roxy, and explore captivating works of art with friends and family. Check venues for cancellation updates!

Polar Bear Plunge: Participants will jump into frigid water, raising awareness for water safety and drowning. All proceeds will benefit Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s free and adaptive swim lessons. Jump into the New Providence Pool, 168 Cunningham Lane on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. Tickets are $25.

The Vagina Monologues: Funny, outrageous, emotionally affecting and occasionally angry, Eve Ensler’s series of monologues about women and performed by women is back for the 22nd year at The Roxy, 100 Franklin Street. Showings begin Friday, Jan. 10-12. Tickets are $35.

Art in Bloom: Experience the enchanting beauty and fragrance of flowers and plants as florists showcase their artistry alongside captivating works of art. Hosted by the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center Guild,  200 South Second Street, Art in Bloom will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 12. Tickets start at $75 per person.
