Weekend top picks: Possumstock, F2Con, Bacon Festival, Cooling at Cave and more

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend, immerse yourself in outdoor fun by the Red River, enjoy a laugh-filled musical comedy show, challenge friends in exciting video game battles, experience live music performances, and take part in a bacon-eating competition!
Possumstock 10 Year Extravaganza: Possumstock is a weekend-long DIY mini-festival of music and camping. It begins Thursday, Sept. 5, to Sunday, Sept. 8., at Canoe the Red River, 8002 Highway 41 N. Adams, TN. There will be food vendors on site as well as a big lineup of local musical guests.
Scriptless in Seattle: The nationally touring improvised musical sensation is coming back to Clarksville for four one-of-a-kind shows! With a style reminiscent of the beloved show “Whose Line Is It Anyway,” they offer a unique blend of hilarious sketches, improvised musicals, game shows, film noir, and so much more. See them live at the Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin Street, Thursday, Sept. 5-8. Tickets are $25.
F2Con: Clear your schedules for September 6-8, because you don’t want to miss a weekend jam-packed with fierce competition, laid-back gaming vibes, and epic family fun. It all takes place at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 8 Champions Way.
Downtown@Sundown: Enjoy live music at Downtown Commons, 215 Legion Street from Boys in the Band and Alabama Tribute. Music will begin at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Clarksville Bacon Festival: Enjoy this family friendly event with over 30 unique bacon menu items from vendors and food trucks at the Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds, 1600 Needmore Road. The free event is on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Dueling Pianos: Old Glory Distilling Co., 451 Alfred Thun Road will host the much-anticipated return of its long-running “Dueling Pianos” event at the distillery’s newly revamped outdoor Silo Park on Sept. 7 from 7-9:30 p.m.
Cooling at the Cave: Enjoy a live performance at Dunbar Cave, 401 Old Dunbar Cave Road from Clarksville native James Parker. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with music from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 per car.
