Weekend top picks: Spiritfest, Downtown Christmas Parade, Fort Campbell inaugural parade

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend, listen to live music and grab a picture with Santa Claus, watch the local Christmas parade, bring the family for movie night at the Roxy, and celebrate the festive season with a tree lighting and holiday market!
Spiritfest: Live music, Santa Claus, kids’ activities, and food trucks. At 4:30 p.m., Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden will light the Christmas tree at the Downtown Commons, 215 Legion Street on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 2-4:30 p.m.
Lighted Christmas Parade: Local businesses, civic organizations, clubs, school groups, municipal agencies, non-profits and church groups will be present with floats and decorated vehicles in Downtown Clarksville. The parade is on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 5-7 p.m.
Holiday Movies at the Roxy: How the Grinch Stole Christmas: Join the Roxy, 100 Franklin Street for a showing of Dr. Seuss’ “How The Grinch Stole Christmas,” on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5.
Fort Campbell Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Market: Fort Campbell’s Inaugural Holiday Parade for soldiers, families, and the community. The entities on Fort Campbell will be displaying floats, walking personnel and music. The event will conclude with Santa’s arrival and lead into our annual tree lighting ceremony and Holiday Market. It all takes place on Friday, Dec. 6 from 5-9 p.m. at 38 Screaming Eagle Blvd.
