Weekend top picks: Veterans Day Parade, veterans breakfast at APSU, The Kindness Objective Silent Auction

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend, watch the annual Veterans Day Parade downtown, enjoy breakfast with members from the community, support a good cause in a special silent auction, and explore a park guided by lantern light!

Veterans Day Parade: Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9 a.m. in front of the County Courthouse. Parade at 10. Parade will travel from Eighth Street at APSU through downtown and back to APSU.

Veterans Day Breakfast: 101st Maj. Gen. Brett Sylvia will be speaking at the APSU University Center, 601 College St. as members of the community gather for a Veterans Day breakfast, Saturday, Nov. 9 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. Tickets are $40.

The Kindness Objective Silent Auction: This event will take place on Friday, Nov. 8, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St. This auction is crucial in supporting TKO’s mission to combat bullying and assist those affected by its devastating effects.

Lantern Hike: Hike through Rotary Park and meet at the Wade Bourne Nature Center, 2308 Rotary Park Drive. The trail difficulty level is rated moderate and will be in the dark. The hike begins on Friday, Nov. 8 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
