Freedom Elementary opens its doors for first day of school | PHOTOS

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Students were welcomed Wednesday morning for the first half-day at the new Freedom Elementary School. CMCSS leaders greeted families and students at the front doors to kick off the school year.

Freedom Elementary, located at 1776 Wallace Blvd. off Fort Campbell Boulevard near Clarksville Regional Airport, is the district’s newest elementary school and home of the “Freedom Foxes.” The school features updated technology, energy-efficient systems and improved traffic flow designed to better serve students, staff and families.

The new school was built to accommodate the district’s continued growth while providing additional capacity for future enrollment. The district’s first full day of instruction will be Monday, Aug. 10.
